Half Moon Party
The island's biggest night after the full moon
Half Moon Party is Koh Phangan's second most iconic event — and for many, the better party. It's actually a two-day experience: Day 1 at Harmony Beach Club for a beach-to-sunset party, and Day 2 deep in the Magical Forest jungle with three open-air stages. Laser shows, fire performances, international headliners, and an energy that builds from sunset until sunrise.
Jungle Experience Festival
Multi-day jungle immersion for the deeper crowd
Jungle Experience isn't just a party — it's a full-night immersion in the jungle. Two stages (Dragon Stage for house & techno, Bass Stage for drum & bass), live Muay Thai boxing from midnight, fire shows, live graffiti art, UV body painting, and a market. All of it surrounded by jungle, running from 10 PM until sunrise. It happens the night before every Full Moon Party, making it the perfect warm-up.
Waterfall Festival
Dance in the jungle, under the falls
Waterfall Festival has been running since 2010 and takes the jungle party concept to its natural conclusion — four open-air stages set around real waterfalls and a river chill zone in the Ban Tai jungle. Main Stage, Sky Stage, Secret Stage, and Panorama Stage each carry a different sound. It runs about two days after every Full Moon Party, from 9 PM until sunrise.
Utopia Koh Phangan
Sunset sessions on the west coast cliffs
Utopia Festival is an open-air psytrance and techno event held in the jungle near Thong Nai Pan. One main stage under the stars, international and local DJs, fire performances, visual mapping, and body painting. It runs approximately monthly — not tied strictly to the full moon cycle — making it one of the more unpredictable (and exciting) nights on the island's calendar.
Oxa Jungle Party
Underground techno — no frills, just music
OXA is one of the most consistent nights on Koh Phangan — running every Friday in a dedicated open-air jungle venue with three separate dance floors: OASIS, CANYON, and CABIN, each with its own sound and atmosphere.
